When shipping…
When physically
dropping off samples, we are located in the NBS industrial park, just
south-east of Marine Drive and the Knight Street Bridge – proceed through Gate
#2. Map

When you ship we ask that you include the
following:
- A detailed letter requesting
our services
- A purchase order when
appropriate
- A complete sample list
containing any specific processing instructions and the work you would
like performed.
- If you are paying by Visa
please include all of the following:
the name on the card, card number, 3-digit security code on back of card and expiry
date. We also request the
signature of the card holder on the letter requesting our services which
can be sent by email.
- For first time clients
please enclose a cheque for 100% of the value of the order, or Visa #
and/or contact us.
- Always include a
shipping and return address inside your package in case the outer shipping
labels are lost or damaged. Please
remember to include an accurate return address and telephone #.
- We recommend that you
advise us by phone, fax, or e-mail that your order is en-route so that we
can be watching for it and advise you if it has not been received in a
reasonable amount of time.
!!! USA and International Clients !!!
- Please be sure to mark
clearly on your shipping packages "Rocks for Scientific
Study--No Commercial Value" and assign a vale of <$5, this
will help ensure that your specimens are processed through Customs with a
minimum amount of red tape and without additional charges. If this is not
marked on your shipment duty may be charged and will be added to your
invoice.
Method of Shipping
- Couriers
-- Provide the best value in terms of security, speed, and
economy. Most couriers provide a plastic or cardboard envelope
(large enough to hold 3-5 pounds) that generally will not cost more than
$30-$40. These are the best value and often provide1-2 day service.
Your package is always traceable should it go astray. Our couriers
of choice are Purolator and FedEx.
Please do not ship by UPS as they always charge brokerage
fees (that we have to charge back to you) and we have found DHL to not be
reliable.
- Canada
Post and The United States Postal Service are
also fine when time is not as much an issue. Express Mail Services offer the advantages of
reasonably rapid service (3-5 days) and the benefit of a tracking number
such that if a parcel gets lost it can be traced.
Return shipping (VERY
IMPORTANT!!!)
Completed work is return shipped
via Purolator Courier or Canada Post and occasionally via FedEx. If you would prefer a different method
please specify in your request letter. ALL shipments are returned WITHOUT insurance unless requested by the
client beforehand – therefore, the client is responsible once the courier has
received the shipment. Please BE CERTAIN to specify in advance if you
would like your order insured when we return ship it to you. Thank you.
